# Mainnet quickstart

> From an empty browser to your first mainnet swap on RivrDEX — wallet, tokens, trade.

RivrDEX is live on **Vara Network mainnet**. This is the fastest path from zero to your first real swap. Each step links to a detailed guide if you want more depth.

    Install [SubWallet](https://subwallet.app) (recommended) or another Vara-compatible extension, and create or import an account.

  <Step title="Get VARA and tokens">
    Buy VARA on [Coinbase](https://www.coinbase.com/price/vara-network), [Gate.io](https://www.gate.io/trade/VARA_USDT), or [Crypto.com](https://crypto.com/price/vara-network) and withdraw it on the native Vara Network — or bridge **USDT** from Ethereum with the [Vara Network Bridge](https://bridge.vara.network) (\~20 minutes with Fast speed). Bridge USDT specifically — the DEX trades against wUSDT, so other bridged tokens can't be swapped yet.

  <Step title="Open the app and connect">
    Go to [app.rivrdex.io](https://app.rivrdex.io), click **Connect Wallet** in the top-right corner, and approve the connection in your wallet.

  <Step title="Make your first swap">
    Pick a pair on the **Swap** page, enter an amount, review the rate and price impact, and confirm. You pay a flat **0.35% fee** plus a near-zero network fee in VARA.

    <Note>
      **No VARA in your wallet? No problem.** RivrDEX covers the network fee for your first
      swap with a voucher — it works with a zero VARA balance. Make that first swap
      **wUSDT → VARA** and you'll hold VARA, which covers gas for everything afterwards.
