To trade or provide liquidity on RivrDEX, you need tokens in your Vara wallet. The process depends on whether you’re on testnet or mainnet.
RivrDEX currently operates on testnet. Use TVARA and wrapped testnet tokens for all transactions.

Testnet: bridge assets using Vara Network Bridge

The Vara Network Bridge allows you to move tokens between Ethereum (Holesky testnet) and Vara testnet. Supported assets: TVARA, WTVARA, WUSDC, WBTC, WETH, WUSDT.
Make sure you switch to Testnet mode in the bridge before proceeding. The network selector is in the top-left corner of the bridge interface — set it to Testnet (Vara Testnet · Ethereum Hoodi), not Mainnet.
1

Open the bridge

Go to bridge.vara.network. The link opens directly in Testnet mode.
2

Connect your wallets

Connect both your MetaMask (for Ethereum side) and your Vara-compatible wallet such as SubWallet or Polkadot.js extension (for Vara side). Both wallet addresses will appear in the top navigation bar.
3

Get testnet tokens from the faucet

Go to the My Tokens & Faucet tab. You’ll see your balances on both Vara and Ethereum. Use the Get Balance button next to USDC, WBTC, USDT, or ETH to claim free testnet tokens directly to your Ethereum wallet.
4

Bridge tokens to Vara

Go back to the Bridge tab. Select the token you want to send, enter the amount, and paste your Vara wallet address in the Bridge to field — or click Use Wallet Address to fill it automatically. Leave Claim Type on Automatic for the simplest experience. Review the expected fee (~0.000125 ETH) and bridge time (~20 min), then click Submit.
5

Wait for confirmation

Bridging takes approximately 20 minutes. You can track the status in the Transactions tab. Once complete, your wrapped tokens (e.g. WETH, WUSDT) will appear in your Vara wallet.
If your transaction appears stuck after the first signature, don’t worry — your tokens are locked but safe. The bridge UI will notify you to sign a second pending transaction to complete the transfer.

Mainnet: bridge assets to Vara Network

On mainnet, the same bridge supports transfers between Ethereum mainnet and Vara mainnet.
1

Open the bridge on Mainnet

Go to bridge.vara.network and make sure the network selector in the top-left shows Mainnet (Vara Mainnet · Ethereum Mainnet).
2

Connect your wallets

Connect MetaMask for the Ethereum side and your Vara-compatible wallet for the Vara side.
3

Select asset and amount

Choose the token you want to bridge (VARA, ETH, BTC, USDT, or USDC), enter the amount, and confirm the destination address on Vara.
4

Confirm and wait

Approve the transaction in your wallet. Bridging takes approximately 20 minutes depending on network conditions. Track progress in the Transactions tab.
